~ Breeders & Sales ~

The International Alliance of Kiger Mustang Breeders was founded in 2014. One of its main focuses is to promote high standards and ethical breeding practices in order to preserve the integrity of the Kiger horse. We require all breeders to adhere to our Code of Ethics and submit an application for review to become an Approved Breeder. In addition to promoting ethical breeding and purchasing practices, we are dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Kiger breed itself, as well as the promotion of both owner and breeder responsibility, acting as ambassadors of the breed to ensure the protection and quality of Kiger horses.

Part of being a breed ambassador is the gathering and sharing of knowledge, and we’ve gathered a large resource page of educational and promotional material that we feel is going to be beneficial for the prospective, current, or past owner of the Kiger horse, as well as other Kiger horse enthusiasts. Here you will also find detailed information about the Kiger horses as well as guidance to their purchase, care, and overall health.

To become an Approved Breeder, your Kiger horses must be registered with KHAR and DNA tested. A Breeders Listing Application and signed Code of Ethics form needs to be completed and sent to KHAR. This is reviewed by our appointed committee. Please allow 30 days for this review. The Breeders Listing application and supplemental application can be found on our the International Alliance of Kiger Breeders website at www.kigermustangbreeders.com.

The International Alliance of Kiger Breeders website includes a section where interested buyers can find listings of horses for sale through their organization. There is also a Buyer's Guide with helpful information and tips for prospective buyers.
